A Tragic Story

First, read this article about how a disabled girl was taken away from her mother without her mother’s consent… and died within 12 hours.

This is a direct result of the government’s extensive involvement in health care. You can see throughout the story that the reason the girl didn’t live is because the government is calling the shots, instead of patients. And it’s only going to get worse as Obamacare is implemented: more bureaucrats deciding what types of treatments people can have, and who gets them.

It would be better to have a completely free market in health care, with no regulation, FDA, or AMA, to keep prices down. Then, if individual states want to do some wealth redistribution to their poorest civilians, they could. But the government should not be a provider of care. The government shouldn’t regulate the care. And the government shouldn’t be able to force anyone, not even citizens on welfare, to use one care option over another.

The government ended up doing all of the above in this story. And that needs to change, to prevent such a tragedy from becoming commonplace.
